In this version, Huobi Wallet focused on security issues and BTC wallet by supporting BTC/USDT-OMNI SegWit address, Touch ID and Face ID. In addition, we also added the support for “op_return” parameters in LTC/BCH/BSV. To provide a fairer governance environment, Huobi Wallet supported more IOST nodes other than Huobi Wallet node.
The followings are the main updates:
- Supported BTC SegWit address and BTC packing acceleration
- Supported Touch ID and Face ID
- Added the support for “op_return” parameters in LTC/BCH/BSV
- Added more IOST nodes
BTC/USDT-OMNI SegWit Address is Available Now
Our mission is to build a professional on-chain wallet with multi-assets. In the latest version, we primarily focused on optimizing the BTC/USDT-OMNI wallet by supporting SegWit address and packing acceleration. SegWit address has the same security level as Legacy address while effectively raising block size and decreasing transaction fee. How to use SegWit address? Open the BTC wallet, click the SegWit icon on the upper right corner to switch to SegWit address. At the same time, we also support the imported BTC/USDT-OMNI SegWit address.
Newly supported Touch ID and Face ID
Once you enable Touch ID, you can use fingerprint instead of password which is convenient and also increases the security. Note that sensitive operations such as exporting private keys and importing wallets still require a password. How to enable Touch ID or Face ID? Click “setting” button, then slide “Enable Touch ID for Payment” switch.
What we optimized, it’s about far more than that.
Huobi Wallet added the support for “op_return” parameters in LTC/BCH/BSV and supported more IOST nodes other than Huobi Wallet node.
